The Tennessee Credit Union is looking for an outgoing personality to join the Member Contact Center team. The ideal candidate will provide superior member service via telephone and other remote delivery channels.  Common requests include completing transactions and providing information on other products and services. This position also supports other internal departments by facilitating online account opening, and card maintenance.  The call center is a full-time fast paced environment, perfect for the energetic person who is eager to build their career in the credit union industry. The candidate will demonstrate friendliness, very strong interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor and have a sincere attitude of helping in order to deliver an exceptional member experience for every member, every time.  General hours are Monday - Thursday: 8:00a - 5:00p and Friday: 8:00a - 6:00p, with some exceptions.  Position pays $12-$14/hr based on experience.  EOE

 DUTIES

The following duties are normal for this position, but should not be interpreted as all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Answer and route member calls.
  • In compliance with Credit Union regulations, assist with member account request.
  • Post and process mail items as well as Remote Deposit Capture.
  • Respond to or reassign all Member Service e-mail requests
  • Assist in all Electronic banking areas such as cards, online banking, bill pay etc.
  • Process requests to open accounts that are submitted electronically.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • General knowledge of Credit Union operations, of products and services.
  • Professional appearance and behavior, particularly the ability to deal with multiple requests, problem situations, and frequent interruptions.
  • Pleasant telephone voice and personal demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a non-smoking environment.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, with constant repetitiveness of picking up/laying down phone handset.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 year customer service experience required
  • High school education required
  • 1 year as telephone operator, receptionist or comparable position preferred.
  • Prior Credit Union experience a plus but not required.

In order to be hired into this position, the candidate must have an acceptable credit history per a report which will be run prior to employment. Good credit history is considered an essential element for this position.  In addition, the candidate must pass a drug screen and background check.  No recruiters please.
